FRENCH SCHOOL OF THE EARLY NINETEENTH CENTURY. "Views of the Val domain, property of Michel Regnaud of St Jean d'Angély". Two fixed under round glass, circled with brass. Wooden frames. 10,5 cm. A.B.E. About 1810-1820. The abbey Notre-Dame du Val is a former Cistercian abbey located on the territory of the communes of Mériel and Villiers-Adam in the Val-d'Oise, thirty kilometers north of Paris. In 1806, Michel Regnaud de Saint-Jean d'Angély exchanged a house in Eaubonne for the domain of the Val abbey. In 1824, the property was divided between three owners.
