1974 Motobecane
In the 70's, Motobécane called on engineers to make its 125cm3 motorcycles into Grand Prix bikes. Charles Marandet, with a background in the Matra car team, designed the RAI Motobécane 125. He works on the cycle part and mounts aerodynamic fairings. The small 125 is entirely revised and sees its power culminate at 25 hp, being able to propel the machine to 190 km/h. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art braking system with two front disc brakes and a rear tanbour. This model is in a nice condition and has a slight patina. Its fluorescent yellow color does not go unnoticed. It is equipped with a bubble that completes its aerodynamic style. The seat, as small as it is, allows the rider to lie down in the straights to gain speed. It is functional and can take the track after a few necessary adjustments for the safety of its future owner. This bike is very rare, about 20 were made and only 10 would remain. It was Charles Marandet's personal motorcycle that he had kept. Its frame number is 1A and apparently it never raced, so it is new from the period!
