1960 ALFA ROMEO
"Chassis number: 149508845 French title Important restoration Very nice configuration 50,000 € of invoices At the 1955 Paris Motor Show, Alfa Romeo unveiled a convertible interpretation of its successful coupé, the Giulietta. It was called the Giulietta Spider and the design was by Pinin Farina. The small convertible was born thanks to Max Hoffman, an importer of European cars in the United States, who made it known how important convertibles were for the American market. The design of the spider subtly follows the general lines of the coupe, which appeals to the public. Its racy 1300cc engine provides a very good driving feel, aided in part by the car's low weight which makes it easy to handle. This model has a strong personality and an iconic style that has left its mark. The strong demand for the Giulietta allowed Alfa Romeo to industrialise and produce on a large scale. In total, almost 27,500 spider versions were produced. 27,500 spider versions left the Italian company's factories. Considered a must-have, this small, light cabriolet is a model prized by collectors. The model presented here was tested on the road for several kilometres, in the city and on the motorway. There is nothing to say about the driving experience. The vehicle is pleasant and easy to handle. Once warmed up, the engine easily revs up to 4,000 rpm with a nice, resonant sound. The manual gearbox works normally. With more than 50 000€ of restoration costs, the car is in a nice condition. The dark grey paintwork matches perfectly with the red leather upholstery. This car is perfect for daily driving or for long weekend drives."
