1955 FORD
"Serial number : R5FM219710 Beautiful condition and mechanics Rare two-seater French title Better known under the nickname "T-Bird", the Ford Thunderbird was originally designed as a sports car. Its primary role was to compete with the Chevrolet Corvette, which had come out two years earlier. The car was designed to compete with the Chevrolet Corvette, which had come out two years earlier, and was based on the Chevrolet's design, with a convertible body and two seats. However, its sporting vocation only lasted two years, before Robert McNamara, an important executive at Ford, decided to change the recipe to improve sales. In 1958, the T-Bird became larger and had 4 seats. For the 1955 model year, only 16,155 units were sold, making this car quite rare for the American market. It was not until 2002 that Ford offered a second version of the Thunderbird two-seater. This Ford Thunderbird is one of the very first models built since it dates from 1955. It is in good condition and is not very common on the market. Its red paint in good condition has probably been redone about twenty years ago. Its interior is equipped with black upholstery in good condition, topped by a black soft top. The V8 engine works well and is coupled to a three-speed automatic gearbox. However, a mechanical overhaul is required to take the car on the road with peace of mind. An emblematic model of the Dearborn company, this T-Bird will take you straight back to the 50's."
