"Chassis number: B50.1370 Engine number: B10N.2776 Nice restoration project Dedouane 846 A To be registered as a collector Grand Touring car produced between 1950 and 1958, the Lancia Aurelia was at that time the standard bearer of the Italian brand. But if the various body styles of this car were not enough to convince the press and customers, this car offers the very first V6 engine in the history of the automobile. A total of 18,419 units were produced, and several versions of the car were produced. The Aurelia enjoyed success in competitions under the colours of Scuderia Lancia. Among its podiums, a first place in the Del Sestriere rally is to be noted. The car also had its moments of glory in the cinema and in Hergé's "Tintin" comic strip. The model presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1950 was an Aurelia B10. It was accompanied by its sister, the B50, with a convertible body. Pinin Farina produced the largest number of B50s: 265 in total in the form of a cabriolet. 265 in total in the form of a 5-seater cabriolet in the manufacturer's catalogue. Not all the cars were identical. The Aurelia B50 presented here is in the process of being restored. The seller indicates that it is incomplete. The bodywork has been fully restored and repainted. The engine seems to be incomplete. It has to be restarted. The original upholstery is present and needs to be replaced. A lot of parts are included with the car. Arrived from Switzerland 35 years ago, this car has not yet seen the end of its work but is a superb project for mechanics enthusiasts. The final result will be a superb convertible, rare on our roads but dear to our hearts and eligible for the Villa d'Este. The car was registered in France in 1961 and then went through customs to Switzerland to be restored. The work was never finished."
