A two-tone gilded and burnished bronze hanging... - Lot 251 - Osenat
A two-tone gilded and burnished bronze hanging lamp representing "Love in a cage" at the top, the enamelled dial with Roman numerals for the hours signed Armingaud L'Ané in Paris in a hexagon inscribed in a terminal, framed by two winged sphinxes topped by feathers. It rests on a base with a central projection decorated with a child playing with lions and finished with corolla feet. Emperor-Restoration period (restorations) H : 54 - W : 40,5 - D : 15 cm Armingaud L'Aîné, clockmaker active in rue Meslay, boulevard de la Porte Saint-Martin from 1806 to 1813.
