SWORD OF CITY OF OFFICER ALLOTTED TO THE HOUSE OF THE EMPEROR OR THE CAVALRY OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD. Spindle entirely watermarked with silver. Chased and gilded brass mounting. Pommel with the Eagle, surmounted by the imperial crown in the round. Guard with a branch, donkey step and bivalve shell decorated with foliage and oak leaves. Triangular blade of "Coulaux & Cie Klingenthal". Leather scabbard with gilded and chased brass cap. B.E. (missing the bolt) Second Empire period.
