CAVALRY SABER OF OFFICER OF DRAGONS. Handle covered with basane with copper filigree. Gilded brass mounting. Guard called "battle", with branches and openwork shell. Beautiful and long straight blade, with flat back and double hollow sides, marked on the heel "Coulaux Frères" and "Manufacture de Klingenthal", finely engraved, gilded and blued on the third side, decorated with trophies, arms, lictor beam, man in arms, flags and foliage. Leather scabbard with three large cut brass fittings, decorated with a line. Iron ring and sting. B.E. Consulate/Empire period
