BEAUTIFUL CANE POMMEL. Silver, chased in high relief of battle scenes between medieval knights Gold ferrule decorated with city coat of arms, family coat of arms (also found on one of the knights' shields) and trophies of arms. The top of the pommel is decorated with an interlaced monogram (EBS) in applied gold, surrounded by a series of small cartouches decorated with applied gold motifs and chiseled flowers and trophies of arms (two cartouches deliberately erased, probably a flower and a helmet). Ebony shaft carved in a thorny style, broken and missing the lower half. Mark of horse head on the ferrule. Length : 42 cm. A.B.E. Mid 19th century.
