PRADIER JEAN-JACQUES, DIT JAMES (1792-1852) L'Empereur Napoléon I en pied Bronze with a medallic patina, signed on the terrace " Pradier ". Base in sienna marble. Height: 38 cm, T.B.E. Biography : It is said that PRADIER was "the last of the Greeks". He exhibited the Centaur and the Bacchante at the 1819 Salon and won the first class medal. In 1824, the brilliant success of his Psyche and the bust of Louis XVIII earned him the cross of the Legion of Honor.
