FABRE D'ÉGLANTINE (Philippe-François-Nazaire... - Lot 21 - Osenat
FABRE D'ÉGLANTINE (Philippe-François-Nazaire Fabre, said). Autograph manuscript entitled " L'Aristocrate en convalescence ou le Convalescent de qualité " (title partially crossed out). 43 pp. in-folio in a booklet bound with a string, upper margins wet and frayed with several missing text. Piece created on January 28, 1791 at the Théâtre-italien, published the same year under the title Le Convalescent de qualité, ou l'Aristocrate. THIS PIECE WAS THUS HELD AGAINST HIM DURING HIS TRIAL IN 1794, AND CONTRIBUTED TO SEND HIM TO THE SCAFFOLD. At the bottom of the last page, a handwritten visa of censorship of the town hall of Paris dated January 8, 1791: "... allowed to represent... ".
