SUPERB CAP OFFERED BY THE SULTAN OF THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE "ABDÜLAZIZ" TO THE IMPERIAL PRINCE AT THE WORLD FAIR OF 1867. Covered with crimson velvet, fully and richly embroidered on the sides and the cap of foliage scrolls in thread, canetille and silver sequins. Surmounted on the cap of a large tassel adorned with a crescent, embroidered in sequence, with long bangs in gold trimmings ending with sequins. Inside damask cloth gold embroidered with sequins under the cap. Diam: 11 cm. Height: 5.5 cm. Accompanied by his autograph note of Baron Lambert: "Given in 1867 by the Sultan to the Imperial Prince. Given by the Imperial Prince. Good Tristan Lambert." A.B.E. Second Empire period. Provenance: -The Imperial Prince. -Given to his friend, the Baron Tristan Lambert. -Then descendants.
