Marked on the back "To be returned to the secretary's office R.M. Academy". Provenance: Collections of the abbot Misset. Bears the number 7292 of the collections. History : This superb drawing, undoubtedly one of the most accomplished of the Prince, was made at the Woolwich Academy in 1874, probably as part of an examination in which the Prince was to compete anonymously under number 72 (see Martinet). Recovered by the Prince, it was signed 'Napoleon' by him, after the death of his father (1873). It was bought by the Abbé
