PHARMACY CASE OF ALPHONSE MARCEL, PHARMACIST OF THE EMPEROR IN COMPIEGNE Varnished mahogany veneer, opening on the top and in front. The lid being decorated in the center of a brass pattern engraved with the great arms, replaced by a brass pattern, blank. Security hinges, retractable carrying handles and lock signed "STELLFELD Ft Rue Volta 21 Paris", in brass. The cover is lined with a chamois leather gusseted pouch. It presents on the top twenty seven places containing 25 partially filled bottles with cork stoppers (antiseptic vinegar, salts, acids, liniments, oils, calcined bone, crystals) and two covered containers with wick). Open, in front, it has a brass plate cut and engraved "ALPH.MARCEL PHARMACIEN DE L'EMPEREUR A COMPIEGNE" and four drawers with brass draw ring. In the drawers various manuals of medicine and pharmacy, a syringe in glass and nickel-plated metal engraved Gentile in Paris " -, an acid scale in its box by Billault in Paris, a urine scale in its box, glass bottles, crucible, eyewash in porcelain, 30 x 45 x 31 cm. Restorations, some elements decorating the box added later. A.B.E. Second Empire period for the box.
