The banquet of the camp of the golden sheet: the meeting between Henri VIII of England and François I, on June 24, 1520 in Balinghem, near Calais. In wool and silk. Beautiful frame of tassels. It was a display of festivities to attempt an alliance between the kingdoms of France and England against the power of Charles V. Henry VIII is on the left, accompanied by his wife Catherine of Aragon, at his side the queen Claude of France who accompanies her husband François I on the right, surrounded by their servants and valets.
