1977 RENAULT ALPINE A110 1600SX
"1977 RENAULT ALPINE A110 1600SX Serial number 30345 Bodywork 11345 Same owner since 1988 Ready to race French title French sports car developed by Jean Rédélé, the Alpine A110 is the iconic model of the brand. Commonly known as the "Berlinette", it was built in Dieppe at the Alpine factory between 1962 and 1977 from Renault engines. Agile, light and sharp, it won the World Rally Championship in 1971 and 1973. Last representative of the A110 lineage, the 1600 SX is often the most unknown of all the Berlinettes produced by the Dieppe factory. It embeds at the rear the R16 TS engine developing 95 horsepower. The last model produced during the "berlinette" era, the 1600SX will see its production stopped in July 1977 to make way for the A310. The model we present in these pages was one of the last to leave the factory. The current owner has owned it since 1988 and has managed to bring out the full potential of his jewel. Originally white, it is now painted in the Alpine blue that is characteristic of the brand and of this model. The R16 TS engine that equipped the model has been replaced by that of the 1600 SC, twin Weber 45 carburetors. It is equipped with a R5 Alpine gearbox which gives it a very pleasant driving experience. You can enjoy a carefully prepared interior with bucket seats, roll bar and three-point harnesses. The not inconsiderable asset, stopwatches fixed on the dashboard will allow you to achieve race times as fast as those of Jean Ragnotti. This berlinette is the ideal car for your future sports escapades.
