1990 CITROEN TRACTION CHARLESTON
Serial number: VF7AZKA00KA370511 1st hand 5 200 km of origin Belonging to the chief engineer of metrology at Citroën Original order form with option LM Leve-Malle and 8E Peinture Platebicol French title On September 12, 1980, Citroën's public relations department announced the "2CV Charleston" limited series with a series of press releases and press conferences. On the stand at the Paris Motor Show, Citroën placed a number of models dressed very short with pearl dresses and boyish haircuts. This is obviously what best symbolizes the "Charleston" period. This name is that of a dance born in the city of Charleston in South Carolina in the USA. It was introduced in France in 1925 by the "Revue Nègre" led by Josephine Baker at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées. Originally planned for a limited series of 8,000, this model was a huge success. And the initial limited series will quickly become a full-fledged finish. The model presented here is in an exceptional state of preservation. With only 5,200 km on the odometer, the car is almost out of the factory, with the added salt of its very particular history. Ordered by its first owner in April 1990 (employee for Citroën from 1942 in quai de Javel until 1982 in Vélizy). He took possession of it in May 1990. Between 1990 and 2022, the car will be taken out "as little as possible" in order not to damage it. It is the last Citroën bought in the family, so it was necessary to take care of it. This will not prevent two small dents on the fenders, which will lead to the anger of the father. A valid technical control dated 12/10/2020 will be provided. Our test drive confirmed that the car had been well maintained. This is a wonderful opportunity to buy a 2CV Charleston with a beautiful history, and a very enviable aesthetic and mechanical condition.
