COLONEL D'HAUGERANVILLE, OF THE 6TH CUIRASSIERS "NAPOLEON BY THE GRACE OF GOD EMP. OF THE FRENCH, KING OF ITALY". Diploma of Baron d'Empire on parchment in the name of "Sieur d'Avange d'Haugeranville François Charles Jean - Pierre, born on October 15, 1782, Colonel of the 6th Cuirassiers regiment, member of the Legion of Honor". Given at the palace of Saint-Cloud on September 10, 1808. Signed "Napoleon" and "Cambaceres". Arms painted in the natural in top on the left. Accompanied by its big seal in red wax with blue and yellow ribbon. Presented in a superb shaped case, in red morocco, decorated with gold small irons, sheathed inside with cream silk velvet. B.E. First Empire period The Baron's coat of arms is as follows: Quarterly: the first of azure to the chevron of gold accompanied by three apples of the same, two in chief, one in point , to the second of the military Barons , to the third of gules to the cuirass of silver surmounted by a helmet of the same, to the fourth of azure to the two swords of gold in saltire, accompanied by three silver stars and a golden sun in chief François Charles Jean-Pierre Marie d'Avranges, baron d' HAUGERANVILLE, cavalry general, son of general François and nephew of Berthier by his mother Charlotte Berthier. He was born in Versailles in October 1782 and died in Paris on August 27, 1817.
