JOSEPH PARENT (ACTIVE FROM THE END OF THE 17th CENTURY - AFTER 1833) Bust portrait of Emperor Napoleon I with his head turned to the right wearing the uniform of a horse hunter of the Imperial Guard, against a cloudy sky. Minaiture signed "J P" and dated 1815 on the lower left. Oval gilt brass frame. 7,2 x 6 cm Biography: Joseph PARENT is a miniature painter whose life is not well known. His name can also be spelled Parrant. In 1814 and 1815, he executed a series of portraits of Napoleon in the uniform of a horse hunter, after the model of Isabey. Bibliography: N.
