"CHARLES-EDOUARD JEANNERET dit LE CORBUSIER (1887-1965) Woman with a corselet Pastel and graphite on paper Signed with initials and dated 'L-C été 51' (lower right) 32.8 x 43.1 cm. Executed in the summer of 1951 Provenance: Joseph Savina's descendants. Bibliography : P. Aumasson and Y. Brand'honneur, Savina Le Corbusier, de l'art celtique à la sculpture moderne, Ed. Locus Solus, Châteaulin, 2021, p. 224, no. 223 (the present work illustrated). A painting from 1929 prefigures this pastel executed and sent to Savina in 1951. This composition would be the inspiration for the sculpture ""Untitled"", 1951, in natural wood (see Aumasson and Brand'honneur, p. 224, no. 222)."
