1968 MERCEDES-BENZ 250SL PAGODE
Chassis N° 113043 12 7 US documents and customs clearance settled To be registered as a collector's car Technical control not valid "Pagoda" is the nickname of the Mercedes SL W113 convertibles built between 1963 and 1972. It is due to the particular shape of its hard-top. The mission of the "Pagoda" was not an easy one, it had to replace and make people forget the 190 SL and the 300 SL. In March 1967 the new 280 SL was presented, the big sister of the 230 SL and 250 SL which appeared in 1963 and 1966 respectively. This magnificent convertible will go down in automotive history as one of the masterpieces of the talented French designer Paul Bracq. Reliable and usable in everyday life even today, this range is in keeping with the image of quality and robustness that has always defined Mercedes-Benz. The Pagoda in question is a 250 SL, this model was only produced in 1967 and 1968. The car is running well, however it will have to be restored with a change of floorboards and rocker panels in order to pass its technical inspection. Its future owner will then be able to enjoy its comfort, its line and the pleasure of its six cylinders.
