1976 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SHADOW II
Serial number LRE22643 US origin Long frame Same owner since 1990 Very good condition French collector's registration In 1965, when it was presented the Silver Shadow inaugurates several technical innovations at Rolls Royce. It uses a monocoque chassis with 4 independent wheels, the rear axle is damped thanks to an automatic and hydraulic levelling system and hydraulic levelling system patented by Citroën, and it is also the first Rolls with 4 disc brakes. More compact than the Silver Cloud which it replaces, it is undoubtedly the first Rolls to have been designed for its driver for its driver and not only for the rear for the rear passengers. Its 6.75-liter V8 with short stroke and crankshaft develops a "sufficient" power power. Our 1976 example is in beautiful condition. Registered for the first time in the United States, this Shadow is presented in a beautiful Bordeaux color accompanied by a beige vinyl roof that echoes the leather of the seats; this color configuration suits it very well and it is rare to see it under this finery. Pampered by its current owner, who is a great fan of the brand, it was the subject of a television appearance on the Turbo program presented by Dominique Chapatte on the following theme: "Rolls thief", which presents the car from every angle. Mechanically revised, our car behaves perfectly well on the road, the supple steering allows to maneuver in the Parisian streets and parking lots and the automatic gearbox shifts smoothly. Very comfortable, this Shadow II version is a perfect compromise between pure British tradition and modernity in driving. Our car, which has made its owner happy for more than 30 years, is looking for a new owner to drive it on the roads with elegance.
