ALBATER PLAQUE carved in high relief with polychrome and gilding highlights representing the Resurrection. The Christ, the head girded with a twisted crown, is standing, the right leg coming out of the tomb, he holds with his left hand the staff of the Cross and blesses with the other, all around, are represented four soldiers in different attitudes, in the upper left corner, stylized tree with three branches ending with large bulbs England, York, second half of the 15th century Dimensions at sight: Height: 40.5 cm - Width: 28 cm - Depth: 4 cm In a frame under glass Height: 51.5 cm - Width: 38 cm (some wear, small missing and accidents at the corners) The tree in the upper left corner, replacing the angel, is characteristic of the school of York with its three branches ending in large "polyhedral bulb. It is found in an altarpiece panel representing the Resurrection (inv. Cl. 19327) and in another depicting The Entombment (inv. Cl. 19323), both of which are in the Musée de Cluny. Book consulted: C.
