A carved, gilded and painted oak woodwork fragment (significant wear) decorated with a Chinese in a foliage frame, with a handwritten label in ink of the 20th century on the reverse side inscribed : " Fragment de boiserie (Pompadour) provenant du château de Crepy (sic) (...) près de Dreux / (le pendant dans l'église de Dreux) ". Louis XV period, circa 1750 (accidents and missing pieces). H: 15 cm, W: 35 cm Provenance: Probably the Marquise de Pompadour in the castle of Crécy (Eure et Loir) until its demolition at the end of the 18th century.
