1985 HONDA NS 400 R
Serial number 20015900 Sold with a copy of the French car registration document. After Freddie Spencer's brilliant 1983 World Championship title in the NS 500, which, after the NR 500, marked Honda's real comeback in Grand Prix racing, it was logical that Honda should benefit commercially from it. The MVX 250 F, which appeared in Japan in 1983, was unfortunately so sloppy and unreliable that the release of its 400 version was cancelled! For Europe, Honda takes a little more time and the NS 400 F is delivered to Europe at maturity. Although the NS had 72 hp and weighs only 163 kg (compared to 125 hp and 115 kg for the NS 500 Grand Prix), Honda's main goal was to make a machine that was easy to use. The NS can be a lot of fun to ride, but supersport customers will prefer the raw power of its two rivals and the NS 400 will soon disappear from the dealers' window. 2 t water-cooled, 90° V-Tricylinder - 387 cm3 (57 x 50.6 mm) - 72 hp/9,500 rpm - Valve timing in the lower engine with auxiliary exhaust chambers - 3 guillotine carbs - Separate lubrication Electronic ignition - Kick start 6-speed gearbox - Chain drive - Aluminium double beam frame - Front suspension Telescopic front, oscillating rear single shock absorber with links - 3 disc brakes - Tyres front 100/90-16, rear 110/90-17 - 163 kg - 215 km/h. This 1985 Honda NS 400 R is in a satisfactory general condition, it needs a restart and a general overhaul. Sold without key.
