JULES WIÈSE BRACELET XIXth CENTURY articulated in ten pieces, delicately chiseled on a guilloche background of scrolls and pine cones, symbolic of the neo-gothic style. This 18K yellow gold bracelet has the signature "Wièse" on the clasp, and a safety chain. French work. Wrist size : 16.5 cm. Gross weight : 88.5 gr. A yellow gold bracelet by Jules Wièse. Jules Wièse was in the XIXth century, one of the principal representatives in jewellery and goldsmithery, of the neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance style. He started his career as a chiseler and jeweler at Froment-Meurice, before setting up his own business in 1844. He is notably known for having directed the execution of the Reliquary of the Talisman of Charlemagne for Napoleon III (1855), as well as the sword of Marshal de Mac-Mahon (1860).
