1955 MG TF 1500
SERIAL NUMBER HDC468657 NICE CONDITION XPAG ENGINE 1500cm3 4 SPEED GEARBOX VINTAGE MG DOCUMENTATION FRENCH COLLECTOR'S REGISTRATION CARD At the beginning of 1953, MG had to react to the drop in sales of the TD. It is on the basis of the TD chassis that the Abingdon engineers introduce in August 1953 the MG TF, still equipped with the XPAG 1250 cm3 engine then 1500 cm3. Few changes characterize this new MG, except the sloping grille enveloping a radiator accessible from inside the engine, the headlights incorporated in the wings and the dummy radiator cap. The engine revs up quickly and shifts easily. This is a reliable car, equipped with an electric fuel pump and sold with its hood and side-screens. The pleasure and the sensations are there. Our TF 1500 was first registered in January 1955 in the United States like most of the production. Aesthetically, the little convertible has a nice grey paint job on the body with a few small wear and tear defects. The soft top is in good condition, it also has its tonneau cover, side-screens and hood cover. Inside, the red leather of the seats and dashboard match perfectly with the exterior paint and give this car some character, the upholstery is in good condition with a slight patina. Mechanically, the little 4-cylinder engine runs smoothly and allows for nice rides at up to 100 km/h. Our road test showed that the reliability of the vehicle is still there, as well as the sensations. This roadster is in good condition and promises its future owner great sensations.
