Serial number R1091 French registration The Dauphine Gordini was produced from 1958 (type R1091) until 1968 (R1095). Like a good bottle of wine, each passing year has made it more flavourful and refined. The specifications: 4 doors, 4 seats, a large boot, a maximum of parts taken from the 4CV and a design in the air of time. The Renault Dauphine was already a success even before the Gordini wizard got involved. Released in 1956, the Dauphine received the care of Amédée from 1958 with the R1091 type developing 40 horsepower. If he is nicknamed the Sorcerer, it is because Amédée Gordini succeeded in transforming a wise sedan into a sports car. In addition to gaining horsepower, this tuner completely redesigned the manual gearbox (with 4 speeds), the suspension... The behavior is deeply modified. The handling is better, the road behaviour more playful and the engine accelerates more strongly. This Dauphine Gordini R1091 was registered on July 31, 1958 and has 70987km on the clock. It is therefore from the first year of production. It was purchased by its current owner at the end of the 90's after a complete restoration and is today in a beautiful state of presentation. The paintwork shows no major defects, the interior with its original upholstery is also in a very good condition! On the road, the car behaves normally, the engine runs smoothly, the gears go smoothly and the running gear does not show any particular weaknesses. It is therefore a rare model that we offer for sale today, all in a superb state of restoration! When faced with a Gordini, there is only one desire: to take to the road and rediscover the sensations of yesteryear, far from today's over-equipped, sanitized and sometimes dispassionate cars. And don't be fooled by its small engine, the sensations on board are exhilarating... with its 635 kg, it has something to surprise you.
