1972 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1
Serial number 2F03F120035 Rare convertible version - Automatic gearbox French registration On April 17, 1964, Ford introduced the Ford Mustang. This new vehicle was introduced in a segment created from scratch by the car in the early 1960s: the Pony Car. An unstoppable success, the Mustang came out at a time when the United States was doing best, the horrors of the war were far away and a new generation of young consumers was born in search of freedom and speed. Offered in several body styles, finishes and engines, the first Mustang lasted until the early 1970s when a serious correction was imposed on these powerful and greedy models: the first oil crack of 1973. Introduced in 1971, the Mustang Mach-1 features a body inspired by its predecessor while being modernized with new bumpers. It is equipped with a specific spoiler, a strip on the hood and an air intake as well as black rocker panels. The interest of this Mustang is its mechanics: it is equipped with the powerful 351 Ci V8 powered by carburetors which allowed the car to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8s, a real performance. If the exterior design is revised, the interior is not left behind and the catalogue of options is very rich. The convertible was equipped with an electric soft top that opened and closed quickly. 1973 will mark the end of the Pony-Car reign but Ford continued to produce its Mustang which still exists today after a long desert crossing from the mid 1970s to the mid 2000s. The Ford Mustang Mach-1 was first registered in 1972 in the United States. A rare convertible version with a production run of just over 6,000 units, it features a tight red paint job all over the body and allows you to appreciate the aggressive lines of the Pony-Car. Mechanically, our car runs well and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly; the V8 engine responds without delay. The car's interior is based on the original Mustang's design, with the two large gauges facing the driver. The power top works without a hitch and the leather seats are in good condition. This Mustang in its rare convertible version seduces with its sporty lines.
