1977 FERRARI 308 GTB VETRORESINA
Serial number 20545 Most desirable version of the 308 Known history French registration With the success of the Dino 246 GT and GTS models, Enzo Ferrari was convinced of the importance of the market for less powerful but lighter rear-engined saloon cars and the 308 was born in 1975. The Maranello firm presented its 308 GTB at the Paris Motor Show in September 1975 and the car was a big hit with visitors thanks to its design, a clever mix of a Dino and a BB, the result of collaboration with Pininfarina. Driven by a rear transverse V8 initially fed by 4 Weber twin barrel carburettors, the 308 developed 240 horsepower and could reach 250 km/h. If the position of Ferrari was to make a light car thanks to a polyester hull on the first versions of 308 (Vetroresina) until 1977, the second series of the berlinette launched jointly with the version découvrable (GTS) or Targa is dressed by a steel hull which made climb the weight of the car to 1275 kg. Registered for the first time on January 1, 1977, the car presented here was sold new in Italy and kept for 37 years by its first owner. It was then imported to France and sold to the current owner, a great collector of the prancing horse brand. He bought it in 2014, it had then 114 900 km. The latter tells us that the vehicle has covered less than 1,600 km since its purchase while being regularly started and stored in very good conditions. All mechanical maintenance invoices since the last purchase are available. (engine code F106A). The latest invoice dated 29/10/2019 benefits from a mechanical service with oil change and belt replacement. Its odometer now reads 116,401 km. In its red color, with beige leather interior in a remarkable condition, this 308 is running perfectly! It is equipped with air-conditioning, has its own tool kit, as well as a car radio. This is an interesting opportunity to acquire the best production version of the 308, combining rarity, mechanical refinement and lightness. A real Ferrari berlinette from the Enzo Ferrari era.
