1967 LANCIA FULVIA SPORT ZAGATO 1,3L
Serial number 818332001326 Extremely rare "all aluminium" version (710 units) Same family since the beginning French registration The Lancia Fulvia appeared in 1963 and was a revolution in the car world of the 1960s. It adopted front wheel drive and a V4 engine. In 1965, two coupés appear in the Fulvia catalogue, the Fulvia Coupé developed by the factory, and the very exclusive Fulvia Sport created by Ercole Spada, designer for Zagato. Unusual and aerodynamic, the Fulvia Sport is equipped with a 1200 cc 80 horsepower engine that moves an aluminium body and weighs only 950 kilograms when assembled. In 1967, the Fulvia Zagato adopts the 1300 engine with 87 horsepower. From the 710th Fulvia Sport onwards, the bodywork loses the aluminium for the sheet metal, keeping only the aluminium for the windows. In 1970, the bodywork is changed to all steel, and in 1972, the Sport uses the 1600 with 115 horsepower. This Fulvia Sport Zagato 1.3L was purchased new from the factory and registered in France by the current owner's aunt. The current owner took possession in 2008. The car has been repainted but has been kept in a largely original condition, it now has some minor defects but remains in good overall condition. The interior offers a nice patina, the whole is original. In 2012, the Lancia underwent a front end overhaul, including a silentblock replacement, a brake rebuild, and a cooling system overhaul. In 2014, at 51,188 kilometers, the ignition was overhauled, the valve clearance checked, the timing chain replaced, the carburetors adjusted and synchronized, the water pump replaced. The steering box was also renovated, while many details were revised, including electrical and heating equipment. In 2016, the engine spi seals were replaced, the clutch was cleaned, checked and re-installed, the engine and gearbox mounts were replaced. Part of the exhaust system was replaced, as well as the accessory belts, the windscreen washer pump, the door seals and the brake pistons. Finally, the front axle was removed for lubrication and adjustment. Today, the car has 55,317 kilometers on the odometer and is in good working order. Brought from Normandy by road for sale, it behaves correctly, both from a mechanical point of view and in terms of its ground connections. This is a connoisseur's car, a rare model signed by a great coachbuilder, with an all-aluminium body and a particularly interesting engine, as much for its architecture as for its performance and sound.
