In 1933, the oil company that was to become "Esso" had just completed the construction of a refinery with the most modern technology in Port-Jérôme (Normandy). On the occasion of the inauguration of the site, Miklos' commemorative plaques, printed by the Monnaie de Paris, were offered with the inscription: "Franco-American Refining Standard - Inauguration of the Port Jérome Refinery, 1933-1934". The names of each of the recipients were engraved on each of the plaques.
