In-8, viii-439-(1 blank) pp. in Empire green chagrin, spine ribbed with gilt dotted fillet, double gilt fillet in a black tinted cold scroll decorating the boards and entrenerfs, with fleurons in the spandrels of the central box of the boards, filleted edges, gilt inner scroll, white moiré paper lining and endpapers, gilt edges, spines and corners lightly rubbed (binding of the 1850's). Second edition published in the same year as the first. Portrait-frontispiece engraved on copper by Louis-Marie Normand dit Normand fils. IMPORTANT SOURCE BY A NEIGHBOR OF NAPOLEON I.
