HEUER MONACO. Around 1970. Ref. 1133/163361. Automatic rectangular steel chronograph. One-piece case. Winder on the left. 2 round push-buttons. Blue anodized dial, luminescent skeleton hands and indexes. Automatic cal.11 caliber. 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock. Date window at 6 o'clock. Ardillion buckle and winder signed HEUER. Dim: 38 x 40 mm. Length : 23 cm. Legendary chronograph worn by Steve McQueen during the shooting of the movie Le Mans. The caliber 11 was completed and presented in 1970. Its micro-rotor allowed a saving of place, for the benefit of other functions. It was the first automatic Swiss chronograph in the history of watchmaking. It shared this title with the no less famous Zenith El Primero, also presented in the same year.
