Another copy is reproduced on page 56 Michel Poletti, Alain Richarme, Barye, Éd. Gallimard. Model referenced under number 24. Several copies are reproduced from pages 76 to 77. Note: Emblematic of the Romantic statuette, this model is one of Barye's most famous. Nine horseman's proofs are printed from July 1850 to March 1857, and there are probably less than fifty antique cast iron proofs. The popularity of the model is especially ensured after the sculptor's death by F. Barbedienne.
