French title

This is a Delahaye 148 L sedan bodied by Letourneur and Marchand. Put into circulation in 1949, this chassis 800904 was certainly the property of a company manager from the Stéphane region. The car was then black and had only been driven a little before being found in the 1970s at a merchant in the same region by one of the managers of Club Delahaye, Mr. Claverie. The latter therefore acquired it and then undertook a restoration of the mechanics before selling, in 1979, the car to his brother Gérard Claverie who, with the help of the brand's Club experts, carried out the complete restoration of the car’s mechanics, including the Cotal 38mkg box (instead of the 35 mkg usually mounted). At the same time, the car was painted in an elegant burgundy. Mr. Claverie has driven only a little with this car, it then displaying 31,238 kilometers on the odometer which, although it no longer works, would not be so far from the truth. Indeed, those who know this automobile say, according to its current owner, that it has not driven more than 50,000 kilometers in its life. It was following the death of Mr. Clamerie, in 2017, that the 148 was acquired by its current owner at an auction near Fontainebleau. Today, 800904 is presented in good general condition. The painting although old offers a beautiful rendering and above all testifies to a great elegance. The chrome and fittings are in good condition and the alignments are good. The interior, kept in fantastic original condition, testifies to the car's limited mileage. The leathers are deliciously patinated and show only a few noticeable defects, the woodwork is in very good condition and their varnish is not altered. Likewise, the dashboard painted in pearl beige offers a pleasant patina of time. On the road, we were able to observe that the car was running smoothly, its engine reacted correctly
