1991 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF 1 CABRIOLET
Serial number WVWZZZZ1SZNK001911 Recent painting New hood 189,000 kilometres on the odometer French car registration document Born in 1974 to replace the Beetle, the first series Golf owes its balanced design to Giugiaro. Internally nicknamed the "Basket of Strawberries" because of its inevitable central roll bar, the Golf Cabriolet will be produced until 1994. Manufactured at the Karmann body shop, the Golf 1 remained almost unchanged during its 15 years of production. The biggest stylistic change will concern the bumpers, which will become more massive in the latest vintages. This carbureted 1.8L Volkswagen Golf 1 Cabriolet was sold new on October 3, 1991, in Paris. It was then registered in Seine et Marne from 1996 in second hand. It changed hands again in 2007 and its current owner bought it in 2008. It has since undergone a complete paint job in its original metallic blue. Regularly maintained, its 189,000 kilometres can be justified by invoices dating back to the 1990s. Today, the car is in good condition, the paintwork is still present despite slight application defects, the rims are in new condition, and the soft top has been redone by a saddler. Finally, the passenger compartment, which remains entirely original, is in good overall condition. We would like to point out that the power windows at the front need to be reactivated. We were able to test the car to see how well the mechanics work. It will be sold with its original books and manuals. This is a nice and pleasant convertible, a collector's item always in fashion today....
