1963 FORD THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE
Serial Number 3Y85Z114008 Collector's French car registration document The first 1955 Thunderbird is named Thunderbird I Classic Birds and is a small two-seat roadster with a 245-horsepower Ford V8 and a three-speed manual or automatic transmission. The third-generation Thunderbird (or second-generation Square Bird), which appeared in 1961, can be considered a "milestone" in American design history. The work of Elwood P. Engel, the head of the Special Products Styling Section - George Walker was then Ford's design boss - it is an original and very seductive creation, certainly the most beautiful of the Square Birds. This Ford Thunderbird was delivered new in 1963 in the United States. It was imported in 2013. It's a car in good general condition that has unfortunately not been driven much in recent years due to health concerns of its owner. An overhaul would be necessary to drive it with confidence, however, the car was recently restarted, including the replacement of several ignition components. The bodywork is still in good shape, the paint, although a few years old, offers a nice shine and the alignments are correct. The interior is dressed in red, a complete cleaning would allow it to regain its splendor. It is equipped with electric windows and hoods as well as an automatic transmission coupled to its V8 390 CI engine. Rarely does it have its original bench seat cover, which sits behind the front seats. A set of parts will be provided with the car.
