Beautiful set of general paymaster of the imperial guard: -In national blue cloth, bordered at the collar, breastplate and facing, of a double rod in golden soutache snaked with a double frieze of oak leaves, in threads, cannetille and sequins of silver threads. Waist knot and basques embroidered in succession. Embroidered wreaths of an imperial eagle holding a key made of gold and silver threads, sequins and cannetille. Gold buttons with an imperial eagle. -White sheet vest with two pockets, embroidered with an oak and olive leaf embroidery on the collar and pockets in silver threads, sequins and cannetille. Silver buttons with imperial eagle. -Black felt bicorn, decorated with golden soutache braid. Gilt eagle button and twist girdle. Silver, red and blue embroidered cockade. With floches in golden trimmings. -Belt worn sword in white buffalo stitched with a silvered bronze buckle decorated with lion's whelp. -Breeches with trigger guard, made of ivory skin style cloth. -Officer's sword, checkered wooden handle decorated with a key. Brass mount, eagle pommel, single-branch hilt, asymmetrical keyboard decorated with the imperial eagle. Triangular blade with remains of engraving. Rear leather scabbard and two brass fittings. Composite, partly 1st Empire period. With fringed strap made of silver thread trimmings. T.B.E. Made by a costume designer specialized in the Empire (Dinard).
