1985 BMW 323i Baur TC (E30) - Lot 148
1985 BMW 323i Baur TC (E30) Serial number WBAAA710409603048 Rare version Desirable 6 cylinders 2,3L Clear history - French collection title This 1985 BMW 323i TC was bodied by Baur. It was the main supplier of convertibles for BMW from the 1930s to the 1980s. Its achievements were extremely expensive on the previous E10 and E21, but thus offered an unprecedented convertible version. When BMW declined its E30 in a factory convertible, orders for Baur versions became increasingly rare because these were more expensive than the standard convertibles. This is why it is today a model particularly sought after by collectors. This copy would have been delivered new in France. It is painted in Bronzitbeige-metallic with beige and brown leather interior. It was exported to the United States in 1990, spending the majority of its life in New York. Its Carfax dates back to 1990, it had 48,500 miles on the odometer corresponding to 78,000 kilometers. The maintenance follow-up brings us by year until 2015, when the car had 85,000 miles on the odometer. It then leaves for California, where its current owner acquired it in 2018, with 97,000 miles on the odometer (156,000 kilometers). The E30 was then repatriated to France and experienced many costs. The hood and the hard-top and their seals were redone. The electrical harness was reconditioned, the rear brakes were revised, the dashboard was replaced, as was the odometer returned to European format. These works were carried out at BM92 in Gennevilliers. It is therefore a car in good overall condition, a rare model in a beautiful configuration of colors, which deserves only a bit of attention to become a real collector!
