1934 DARMONT V Junior
Serial number 1576 Rare Darmont 4 wheels Only two owners since 1986 French collection title This Darmont V Junior was put into circulation in 1934. We find a very nice article of 3 pages devoted to the Darmont 4 wheels V Junior in Moto Revue of August 10, 1935, then of 2 pages in that of February 15, 1936. This Darmont was stored in its time under the Montlhéry ring with other cars for the purpose of making a museum. The project failed and it was sold to the Briare museum in the Loiret. It was then Mr. Leroy, butcher in Beaugency in the Loiret who bought it. In 1986, it was acquired by Mr Landeroin who lived in Mer in Loir-et-Cher. Kept in his own hands for 28 years, he took part in numerous events at the wheel, notably with the Amicale Tricyclecariste de France. It was sold in 2014 to Mr Marchal who restarted it after a few years of immobilization, to be exhibited as part of the Grand Prix de Pau. For the occasion, the four tires were changed, but the patina was retained and it is fit the car well! The car will be sold with its soft top. Admittedly, the twin cylinder is not apparent, but this four-wheeler remains in line with the brand’s tricyclecars. This rare Darmont V Junior (15 have been listed to date) is an authentic cyclecar which robust lateral twin-cylinder engine will undoubtedly provide much pleasure to its future buyer. Our thanks to Frédéric Viginier of the Amicale Tricyclecariste for the help given to the writing of this description.
