Rare bracelet decorated with portraits of King Francis I of the Two Sicilies and his family. Articulated bracelet in 750-thousandths yellow gold, composed of seven polychrome enamelled oval miniatures depicting the portraits of Francis I of the Two Sicilies and his family in an entourage of foliage clasps on a blue enamel background, linked by interlaced 750-thousandths gold threads adorned with small cabochons of various agates, coral and amethyst. The background of the miniatures is 585 thousandths pink gold. (Some of the rivets for fixing the backgrounds are missing, other metal rivets). Length: 22 cm. Gross weight: 62.4 g. 19th century. Miniatures circa 1830. 25 000/35 000 € History: These bracelets decorated with miniatures were very fashionable around the years 1820-1830. They are found in the Orleans family in particular. These portraits represent : King Francis I in uniform with the Order of the Golden Fleece, the plates of the Neapolitan orders of St January and St Ferdinand. The other portraits represent: Ferdinand (the future Ferdinand II), Charles-Ferdinand de Bourbon-Siciles, Prince of Capua, Léopold de Bourbon-Siciles, Antoine de Bourbon-Siciles, a child (possibly Marie-Antoinette des Deux Siciles) and Caroline de Bourbon-Siciles, Duchess of Berry.
