[PICHON (Thomas-Jean)]. Journal historique du Sacre et du co - Lot 48
[PICHON (Thomas-Jean)]. Journal historique du Sacre et du couronnement de Louis XVI, Roi de France. Paris, Vente, 1775, in-8, [2]-IV-124 pp., a f. n. ch. of privilege, with two vignettes engraved in the text (including the reproduction of the medal of the Coronation), marbled fawn calf, smooth spine cloisonné and fleuronné, title piece, simple gilt fillet on the cups, edges speckled with red (binding of the time). Two damaged corners, one epidermis on the bottom cover, but good copy. It is a separate edition of the description of the ceremonies of Reims that is usually found attached to the book put under the name of Gobet: Le Sacre et le couronnement de Louis XVI, also published by Vente in 1775, and which contains a complete iconography of the costumes and important acts of this liturgy. Thomas-Jean Pichon (1731-1812) was canon of the Church of Le Mans. He committed several theological or economic pieces not without interest. Related with : Formula of ceremonies and prayers for the Coronation of His Majesty Louis XVI, which will take place in the Metropolitan Church of Reims on Trinity Sunday, June 11, 1775. Paris, Sale, 1775, [4]-128 pp. (badly figured 132). Ruggieri, 610.
