MANUSCRIBE] - Memoir on the life of Monseigneur... - Lot 35 - Osenat
MANUSCRIBE] - Memoir on the life of Monseigneur le Dauphin. S.l., n.d., (ca. 1770), in-folio, 77 ff. figures, [3] ff. n. ch. (Notes to be added in the margin), on ruled paper, all covered with medium handwriting, very legible (about 20/25 lines per page), with some ornaments (friezes, letters) stenciled, waiting cardboard of marbled pink paper, smooth spine, bottle title piece (binding of the period). His reign was awaited with some impatience: the party expected a notable correction both of the "scandals" offered by his father's private life, and of the liberal and in any case anti-Jesuit policy which led to the suppression of the Company in France (in 1764, a measure which Louis had formal
