À Paris, chez Gabriel Martin, Jean- Baptiste Coignard, Pierre-Jean Mariette, Hyppolite [sic]-Louis Guérin, 1737. 4 volumes in-4, brown vellum, spines compartmentalized and floral with garnet titlepapers, gilt coat of arms in the center of the plates, red jaspered edges, poor condition with incompleteness (binding of the period). New edition, illustrated with copper-engraved folding plates without text. Copy with annotations and caviarages of the period, for a new edition or another publication. FROM THE LIBRARY OF LOUIS-ANTOINE CROZAT (gilded coat of arms on the plates, OHR, pl. no. 189). The work appeared in the auction of this library, and is described under n° 11 of the Catalogue des livres de feu M. Crosat (Paris, Saillant & Nyon, 1771). Brigadier of the king's armies and Lieutenant General of Champagne, Louis-Antoine Crozat (1700-1770), Baron of Thiers, was the son of the wealthy financier and art lover Antoine Crozat.
