A mahogany half-moon-shaped SUPPORT FURNITURE and mahogany veneer with ramages, it opens with two leaves on the front, revealing two drawers and two side doors, punctuated by sheath uprights surmounted by antique female heads on their small feet in patinated bronze. It has two lateral pulls and rests on small sheath feet. Decoration of chased and gilded bronzes such as the entrances of palmette and scroll locks. Stamped CHAPUIS. Granite top repaired. Empire period (some slits). Biography: CHAPUIS, cabinetmaker received master in 1796, makes furniture mainly in mahogany and always with a meticulous workmanship. He has the habit of stamping furniture taken out of his workshops several times and in the most unexpected places, as shown by the support piece of furniture that we present, signed several times and stamped on the edge of a door leaf.
