Mahogany throne, mahogany veneer and gilded wood, with a wide medallion backrest, richly carved with an important laurel torus punctuated by transverse ribbons of pearls and fleurons, the arched belt adorned with palmettes and fleurons, the straight and cuffed armrests, supported by front protomal posts detached above a star ball. Empire style If the initial drawing of the throne is made by Charles Percier, it is later taken up in the collection of "La Mésangère Meubles et Objets de goût 1796-1830" pl 68 (reproduced opposite) with some variations
